Let’s start, today we’ll going to show you how to add social sharing buttons in WordPress.
In this tutorial, we’ll be using the Shared Counts Plugin. It is easy to use and popular WordPress plugin available on the market and it also free cost.
You can register on their Official Website for getting API and also chose their other plan that is paid and have more features and setting but we are dealing with basic setting and plan. So we’ll only show you how to add a basic social media sharing button on your WordPress site with basic features.
Firstly you need to do is to install and activate the ‘ shared counts’ plugin you can install it from add plugin option and find by search bar as you can be seen in the picture below and you can also download from the website [link3] and upload from the add plugin option.
After installing and activation the plugin you need to go Setting >> shared-counts menu to managed plugin settings.
Don’t change the count Source because for it you need to register on their web and also need API to connect with their service. You have to scroll down to the ‘Display’ section and manage the button which you want to display on your site. By default, there is three buttons are selected that include (Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest).
If you want to add more social media button so you just need to click on the white area in the field to add more share buttons.
You can also change the styling on buttons, you can select the styling from the drop-down menu labeled “share button style” The plugin has 8 awesome button style
Now after that, you need to select the location where you want to show the buttons. You can select from three options it’s all up to your choice. We like to use ‘after content’
In the final step, you need to check the option from the “supported post types” section by default it has selected ‘post’. If you also want to display buttons on your pages then you need to check the “page” box option.
In last, after completing everything you need to click on the ‘save change’ button to save your setting.
Once you completed all the steps now you can visit any post on your website to check the social sharing button is appear and working or not.
